These are the essential supplies teachers use every day and too often buy themselves to support student learning.
What is Classroom Essentials?
Classroom Essentials is a program of The Impact Project, the educator support initiative of Artable Curiosities.
The program focuses on providing the five classroom supplies teachers consistently identify as everyday necessities:
The Core Five

✔ Kleenex
✔ Glue Sticks
✔ Dry Erase Markers
✔ Band-Aids
These are the items teachers regularly purchase out of their own pockets and use throughout the school year.
How does it work?
Community members, businesses, civic groups, churches, and organizations help support classrooms through:
- Financial contributions
- Supply donations
- Business sponsorships
- Community supply drives
- Monthly giving partnerships
Supplies are distributed through The Impact Project Teacher Store, where eligible public and charter school educators can access resources for their classrooms.
Why it Matters
